Beginners Course, Level 1
Course Content:
You learn how to use a sewing machine. You will also learn how to insert elastics, zips, buttons, hems and we teach you how to read a bought pattern.
To practice your basic sewing skills you also complete 2 sewing projects.
Duration:
6 weeks, 2 hours per lesson, once a week (Closed every 4th weekend)

Students must select which day to attend, and will attend that day throughout, i.e. either Mondays or Fridays or Saturdays.

Intermediate - Advanced, Level 2
Course Content:
You will learn how to sew up a skirt in a knit fabric, a dress, pants and a shirt. (Learn how to sew waistbands, binding, facings, darts, complicated fly zips and pockets) Guys sew a t-shirt, hoodie, pants and a shirt.
Duration:
14 lessons, 2hours per lesson, once or twice a week
Time
Choose a set day to attend. You may also attend classes twice a week.

Intermediate - Advanced, Level 3 Sewing
Course Content:
You will learn to trace a ready-made garment, sew up a tailored jacket, a kimono, a top with lace appliqué, a handbag. Guys sew a waistcoat, tailored jacket, shorts and a sport bag.

15 lessons, 2hours per lesson, once or twice a week

Course Content:
Bring your own project and we will assist you with it or sew up one of our existing projects.

Private Sewing Lessons
Course Content:
We will tailor make your lessons to teach you whatever you would like to learn. You can also choose to follow our Level 1,2,3 or pattern making curriculum. This is great for when you prefer focused attention.

Patternmaking Level 2
Course Content:
Learn how to draft a stretch bodice and sleeve block. You will also learn how to create your own dress, trouser and shirt pattern from a basic block. Learn how to construct facings, a waistband, pockets and more.
Duration:
15 x 2 hour lessons once a week.
Time

Kids Sewing Camp
(Age 7-15 Years)
Course Content:
Kids get to sew up fun projects with a sewing machine. We start off with a small machine introduction and the rest of the lessons are spent on projects.

Build-your-own sewing course
Course Content:
With groups of 3+ people we are happy to create custom courses.
E.g. create a home decor course and learn how to make curtains, cushions, table clothes, serviettes etc.

Course Content:
Need to get some fun time in to build team skills. Choose a fun project to do and stimulate the creative side of your team. Learn to work together and have fun doing it. Projects can be custom chosen.

* All classes need to be pre-booked
* We have sewing machines available for use at no extra cost and we sell sewing machines if you would like to purchase one
* Create. Hobby Center is entitled to no transfers or makeup classes. There is a 100% charge for no show. If a student has missed a class, payment cannot be forwarded to another date.
* Catch-up classes can be booked on a Tuesday evening or Thursday morning @R150 a session or a private session for R350 a session. We will try our best to arrange a catch-up class. Catch-up classes are subject to availability and we are under no obligation to do so.
